Prof. Ziad Salem is a distinguished academic with a robust background in economics, business administration, and supply chain management. With over 15 years of experience in multinational corporations (MNCs) in managerial roles, he transitioned to academia to contribute his expertise to the next generation of professionals and researchers.
Prof. Salem earned his BA in Accounting from Suez Canal University in 2000. He furthered his education with two master’s degrees: an MA in Applied Economics from Hunan University in 2013 and an MBA in Business Administration from South China University of Technology in 2016. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Business Administration, specializing in enterprise management, from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in 2020.
Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Qujing Normal University in China, Prof. Salem teaches a wide array of courses, including Research Methods, Marketing Research, Academic Writing, Supply Chain Management, System Thinking, and International Logistics. His multidisciplinary approach integrates practical insights with academic rigor, equipping students with the skills necessary to thrive in a globalized economy.
Prof. Salem’s research interests include Economic Development & Sustainability, Managerial Decisions, Deep Learning, Risk Management, and Agricultural Economics. His innovative contributions have earned him several accolades, including the Chinese Honorary Credential for Best Graduate in 2020, a prestigious Yunnan Government Provincial Level Research Grant in 2022, and the Yunnan Talented Honorary Credential in 2023.
