Dr. Amr A. Mahfouz is a distinguished academic in Operations and Supply Chain Management, specializing in business analytics, manufacturing systems, and decision science. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations & Supply Chain Management from Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) and an M.Sc. in Management Science from Cairo University.

As a Programme Director at Maynooth University, Ireland, and former Head of Research & Innovation at TU Dublin, Dr. Mahfouz has led impactful research projects, established key industry collaborations, and supervised numerous Ph.D. and M.Sc. students. He was also Director of the 3S Research Group (Smart Sustainable Solutions for Complex Processes), focusing on supply chain resilience, business process modelling, manufacturing management, and healthcare management.

As a world-class researcher, he has authored a plenty of peer-reviewed publications and technical reports and served as a reviewer for leading academic journals. His research, funded by organizations such as the EU Commission and Enterprise Ireland, has contributed to policy-making and industry advancements in areas including freight logistics, lean manufacturing, and risk management.

An active member of the global research community, Dr. Mahfouz collaborates with prestigious universities across Europe, the USA, and the Middle East. He is a frequent keynote speaker at international conferences, sharing insights on supply chain management, business resilience, and data analytics.
