Prof. Dr. Abdelghafar Abu‑Elsaoud is a Professor of Physiology and Biostatistics at the Faculty of Science, Suez Canal University, and a faculty member at the College of Science, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, KSA. He specialises in stress physiology, photobiology, and biostatistics, with extensive experience as an environmental and EIA consultant on major gas, petroleum, and conservation projects in Egypt and the Gulf region.
He holds a PhD in Biophysics and Plant Physiology from Al‑Faraby Kazakh National University in joint supervision with Utah State University, and has completed post‑doctoral research in molecular plant physiology at Lund University, Sweden. He has authored more than 100 publications, books, and book chapters in international outlets on abiotic stress tolerance, Medical and pharmaceutical active products, environmental biotechnology, nanotechnology, and sustainable agriculture, and has received multiple excellence awards for high‑impact international publications and teaching.
At the Global Research Excellence Academy (GREA), Prof. Abu‑Elsaoud is the Founder and Director of the Enterprise Innovation & Patent Center (EIPC) and Co-Director of the International Publishing Training Center (IPTC), where he leads programs that help researchers transform environmental and life‑science and Biomedical research into high‑impact publications, patents, and innovation‑driven projects.
